Godawan Estuary Water debuts Durbar Evenings in Delhi
The inaugural edition of the Durbar Evenings by Godawan Estuary Water from Diageo India made a striking debut in Delhi, blending music, storytelling, and mindful indulgence into an immersive celebration of India’s artistic and ecological heritage.
Inspired by the legacy of Durbar 2024 in Rajasthan, the evening transported the desert’s cultural spirit to an urban audience, uniting craft connoisseurs, music lovers, and cultural enthusiasts. Limited seating ensured an intimate gathering that spotlighted local artisans, conservation-themed art installations, and the Great Indian Bustard as a symbol of preservation.
The highlight of the night was an electrifying performance by acclaimed sitar maestro Niladri Kumar, who fused classical ragas with contemporary global sounds on his invention, the zitar. Guests also enjoyed a Rajasthani-inspired tasting menu curated by Chef Anahita Dhondy, paired with Godawan Artisanal Single Malt and bespoke cocktails.
With its emphasis on craftsmanship, community, and conservation, the event set the tone for Durbar Evenings to travel across other Indian cities, ahead of the flagship Durbar experience returning to Rajasthan later this year.
