Guala Closures’ Arturo Martorelli takes helm of ACG
Arturo Martorelli, Chief Commercial Officer at Guala Closures, has been unanimously elected as the new Chair of the Aluminium Closures Group (ACG). He succeeds Franco Bove, who led the group since its inception in 2011 with dedication and vision. Patrick Broom was also re-elected as Vice-Chair at the ACG Summer Conference held in June 2025 in Ljubljana.
The Aluminium Closures Group represents leading global manufacturers and suppliers, accounting for nearly 75 percent of the global aluminium closure production. The group plays a key role in promoting aluminium screw caps used widely in wine, spirits, mineral water, oil, and vinegar sectors, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, market analysis, and recycling initiatives.
Arturo brings in decades of international experience in sales, marketing, and strategic business development across the packaging and consumer goods industries. In his remarks, he underlined the importance of strengthening the group’s focus on the circular economy and promoting the functional and economic value of aluminium closures.
The transition marks both a continuation of long-term goals and new strategic momentum. Under Martorelli’s leadership, ACG aims to further bolster its position as the industry’s voice in a highly competitive and regulated environment, while continuing its mission to support sustainable packaging practices globally.
