Himachal CM announces winery in Theog

Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced the establishment of a winery worth ₹26 crore at Parala Market in Shimla’s Theog. The state-of-the-art winery will be developed by the Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation (HPMC), which has already been granted a licence.

 During a visit to Theog, Sukhu announced that the winery project aims to help orchardists by enabling fruit-based processing, improving profitability, and creating employment opportunities for locals. The market complex at Shilaru is also expected to ensure fair pricing and reduced logistics costs for farmers.
