Holostik's Ankit Gupta flags counterfeit threat at food summit
Ankit Gupta, Joint Managing Director at Holostik and Vice President of the Authentication Solution Providers’ Association (ASPA), brought critical attention to the growing threat of counterfeiting in the food and FMCG sectors during his address at the India Food Manufacturing Summit 2025, held in May in New Delhi.
Speaking during a panel on "The Future of Packaging & Labeling," Ankit spotlighted insights from the ASPA-CRISIL report, which identifies these sectors as highly vulnerable to counterfeiting posing risks to consumer safety and brand trust.
Ankit showcased Holostik’s pioneering "phygital" packaging solutions, which blend physical security features like holographic labels with digital tools such as QR codes and real time track and trace systems. “By integrating physical and digital layers, we create a powerful defence against counterfeiters,” he stated.
The summit, organised by TPCI in collaboration with ASPA, brought together key industry voices to explore innovation in packaging, traceability, and sustainability. Holostik reaffirmed its commitment to enabling secure, eco-friendly packaging solutions that protect consumers and support a transparent supply chain.
