IHM Ranchi hosts visually impaired on World Sight Day
On the occasion of World Sight Day, the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Ranchi hosted a special lunch for 60 visually impaired students from Amar Jyoti School, Chanho. The event, held at the institute’s training restaurant, Paahi Mokhana, featured an exclusive Goan cuisine menu, specially curated and served by IHM students.
The IHM students also spent quality time with the guests by participating in interactive sessions, games and cultural activities. The initiative aimed to sensitise budding hospitality professionals to the values of inclusivity, empathy and social responsibility.
Expressing this sentiment, the principal of IHM Ranchi, Dr Bhupesh Kumar, said, “World Sight Day reminds us that true vision lies in sensitivity and inclusion. Spending time with these children was an emotional and enlightening experience for all of us.”
Through this initiative, IHM Ranchi showcased that hospitality extends beyond service; it is about touching lives, spreading smiles and embracing humanity.
