Indian PSU Achievers’ Award
The first Indian PSU Achievers’ Award hosted a grand celebration of excellence, leadership, and innovation in the public sector in New Delhi on March 18. Its debut event went beyond being just an awards ceremony, honouring visionaries, policymakers and industry leaders shaping India’s economy and infrastructure.
Recognising excellence across 35 categories, the awards celebrated achievements in corporate governance, digital transformation and public policy. The event was graced by Union Cabinet Minister for MSME Jitan Ram Manjhi, Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment Ramdas Athawale and former Union Minister Mahesh Sharma.
Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) received multiple awards, including PSU Leadership Excellence for MD Kamal Kishore Chatiwal and Innovation & Transformation Leadership for Director Mohit Bhatia. BPCL was recognised for Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, while NMDC Ltd. won Best CSR Initiative. NTPC honoured Harjit Singh with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Other winners included Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Alliance Air and HPCL.
Beyond PSUs, individual excellence awards were presented to journalist Brajesh Mishra, advocate Rishi K Kapoor, AI infrastructure leader Lalit Khanna, Mohan Shukla for Excellence in Public Policy and Ranjeet Kumar Gupta for Excellence in Digital Empowerment in the Media World. With 50 awards distributed, the event reaffirmed the vital role of PSUs in nation-building.
Founded by veteran journalist Vivek Avasthi, the event is backed by Indian PSU, a leading digital platform covering PSUs, bureaucracy, corporate affairs, public policy, environment and CSR. Since its inception in 2020, the platform has grown to over five million monthly hits, influencing policymakers and industry leaders.
