Indri has achieved a historic milestone by selling over 2.04 million bottles (1,70,000 9L cases) in 2024, making it the largest-selling single malt in India and the fastest-growing Indian single malt globally for the second consecutive year. According to the International Wine & Spirits Record (IWSR), Indri has been ranked the Number 1 Malt Whisky in India, ahead of domestic and global competitors.
The brand reported 1,24,000 cases sold in India and 46,000 in overseas markets. Its expressions, Indri-Trini, Indri-Dru, the Indri Diwali Collector’s Editions, and the Indri Founder’s Reserve 11YO, have consistently won global honours, including “Best in the World” titles.
Praveen Malviya, CEO (IMFL), Piccadily Agro Industries Limited, said the achievement reflects the brand’s focus on quality and consumer trust. “The sales volume isn’t just a number; it’s an endorsement of our liquid quality and the value we bring to consumers,” Praveen noted.
Indri attributes its success to its unique flavour profile derived from local barley and terroir, and aims to be among the world’s top five single malts in the coming years.
