Jameson marks 50th anniversary with redesigned bottle
Pernod Ricard’s Irish Distillers has introduced a refreshed packaging design for Jameson Irish Whiskey. The redesigned bottle, which began rolling out globally at the end of July, applies across multiple formats — 1 litre, 750 ml, 700 ml and 50 ml.
The new look celebrates Jameson’s 50th anniversary at its Midleton Distillery home in County Cork, now prominently featured on the label with the message, "Crafted for Smoothness at the Midleton Distillery." The update includes a brighter colour palette, refined logo, and enhanced tactile elements such as embossing and micro-embossing, designed to deliver greater shelf appeal while reinforcing the brand’s premium identity.
This visual overhaul maintains the iconic green bottle but introduces elevated features like textured varnishes, increased foil detailing, and a label that reflects the brand's journey from Bow Street, Dublin, to Midleton, where it relocated in 1975. The new design aims to deepen the consumer’s connection to the whiskey’s heritage, craft, and continued innovation.
While the whiskey itself remains unchanged, this redesign signals the start of a broader packaging evolution across the Jameson portfolio. Updated looks for Jameson Crested and Distiller’s Batch are expected later this year, with the Jameson Single Pot Still also receiving a new name and design.
