Kavalan’s annual gift sets are a fusion of whisky, art & festivity

Taiwanese whisky producer Kavalan has launched its annual limited edition gift sets, which honour its homeland’s native beauty. The 2025 collection features three single malt whiskies of the distillery, namely, Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask, Solist Vinho Barrique Single Cask Strength, and Concertmaster Vinho Barrique Cask Finish.

Each gift set includes a signature Kavalan nosing glass, with the packaging inspired by the theme of “blossom,” symbolising prosperity, happiness and beauty.

The 700 ml Solist Vinho Barrique is presented in a golden box decorated with peonies, known as the king of flowers, and the Taiwan blue magpie. Crafted from wine casks sourced from renowned wine regions and finished with Kavalan’s innovative STR barrel technology, the whisky is a masterpiece of flavour and craftsmanship. The deep autumn gold hue hints at its richness, while its aroma entices with notes of melon and caramel sweetness. On the palate, the whisky offers a delicate balance of fruity and oaky flavours, with lingering hints of almond and dark chocolate. The finish is clean, leaving a lasting impression of elegance.

The Triple Sherry Cask’s festive red box captures the essence of spring with its blooming peach blossoms and a vivid broad-tailed swallowtail butterfly. The expression is aged in a combination of Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez (PX), and Moscatel sherry casks. This deep scarlet whisky delivers an aroma filled with ripe berries, citrus, and chocolate toffee, accented by warming spices like cinnamon and clove. On the palate, it offers a luxurious combination of dried fruit sweetness, vibrant spices, caramel, and honey, leaving a silky-smooth finish.

The last of the trio, Concertmaster Vinho Barrique Cask Finish in blue packaging, celebrates resilience and vitality with a design that includes Formosan landlocked salmon and plum blossoms. Its golden caramel hue hints at its rich profile, while the nose reveals layers of raisins, vanilla cream, tropical fruits, and almond nougat. On the palate, tropical fruit flavours meld seamlessly with subtle white chocolate sweetness, creating a smooth, elegant experience for those seeking a refined yet approachable whisky.

Together, these elements evoke transformation, joy, and renewal, making this set a thoughtful choice for celebrating new beginnings.
