The Republic of Moldova will host the 46th World Congress of Vine and Wine, marking a historic first for the country, from June 16 to 20. Organised under the aegis of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), the event is set to convene over 500 participants—including scientists, wine producers, policymakers, and industry leaders from 51 OIV member states and beyond.

The congress will centre on the theme “Shaping the Future of Wine: Embracing Resilience, Enhancing Value, Fostering Innovation”, addressing more than 300 research topics across four key panels. Abstracts have been submitted by experts from 32 countries, highlighting a truly global exchange of knowledge and innovation in viticulture and oenology.
