Monarch Legacy Edition, the first luxury brandy from Tilaknagar Industries Ltd. (TI), has made history as the only Indian brandy to win at both the World Drinks Awards 2025 and the London Spirits Competition in the same year.

Monarch secured Gold in the Aged Speciality Brandy category at the World Drinks Awards, following an earlier victory at the London Spirits Competition, where it triumphed among over 500 entries from 30+ countries. These back-to-back wins mark a significant milestone for Indian spirits, challenging the long-standing European dominance in luxury brandy.

World Drinks Awards 2025 and the London Spirits CompetitionAdding to TI’s accolades, its flagship Mansion House Brandy also claimed Gold in the Unaged Specialty Brandy category and was named World’s Best Specialty Brandy — reinforcing India’s growing stature in the global spirits arena.

Monarch blends aged French grape spirits (up to 8 years) with Indian grape spirits from the Sahyadris, distilled in traditional Cognac-style pot stills and matured in French oak ex-wine casks. The result is a nuanced, luxurious spirit housed in a design-forward bottle.

According to TI CMD Amit Dahanukar, Monarch represents a new era for Indian brandy. Amit added,  “It’s a bold step into the luxury segment and a proud moment to see it internationally recognised.”

Marketing Head Sanaya Dahanukar echoed this sentiment, calling the recognition “a turning point for the category.”

With an ABV of 42.8 percent , Monarch offers rich grape and fruit aromas layered with hints of apple, nutmeg, and tobacco. The palate is velvety, balanced by creamy oak and indulgent dried fruits, leading to a long, warm finish with notes of cinnamon, peach, and clove. Priced at  Rs 6750 in Maharashtra, Rs 4000 in Goa, and  Rs 3500 in Pondicherry for a 750ml bottle.
