Pernod, IIM Calcutta launch green startup incubator
Pernod Ricard India Foundation (PRIF), in partnership with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, has launched the Prakriti Incubation Launchpad Northeast Programme in Guwahati, Assam. This flagship year-long CSR initiative aims to support early-stage green startups from the region focused on sustainability, circular economy, waste management, and indigenous innovation.
At the launch event, Cohort 1, comprising 12 startups, was officially onboarded for incubation and mentorship. The gathering saw participation from prominent government officials, academia, and industry leaders, reflecting a strong commitment to nurturing a resilient and eco-conscious entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Northeast.
The event featured keynote speeches by senior policymakers and CSR leaders, the unveiling of PRIF’s Women Entrepreneurship Programme impact report, and a panel discussion on strengthening support systems for climate-focused ventures.
This initiative reinforces PRIF’s belief that empowering green innovation can foster sustainable growth and uplift local communities.
