Pernod India retains top spot as India’s largest alcobev  company in FY25

Pernod Ricard India has once again cemented its position as the largest alcoholic beverage company in India by value in FY25, with consolidated sales of Rs 27,445.80 crore, outperforming key competitors in the sector.

Pernod Ricard India has once again cemented its position as the largest alcoholic beverage company in India by value in FY25, with consolidated sales of Rs 27,445.80 crore, outperforming key competitors in the sector.

The French spirits major stayed ahead of Diageo India (United Spirits Ltd), whose consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 27,276 crore during the financial year ended March 2025. Including other income, Diageo India’s total income reached Rs 27,612 crore, as per its latest annual report. Beer major United Breweries Ltd (UBL) followed with a consolidated income of Rs 19,444.44 crore in FY25.

In FY25, Pernod Ricard India reported a profit of Rs 1,734.59 crore, marking an 8 percent increase over Rs 1,605.99 crore recorded in the previous year. Advertising and promotional expenses rose marginally by 2.25 per cent to Rs 864.16 crore, while total tax expenses increased 7.85 percent to Rs 607.65 crore.

Total expenses for the company stood at Rs 25,321.33 crore, up 2.23 percent year-on-year. Revenue from domestic sales amounted to Rs 27,099.38 crore, while exports contributed Rs 274.86 crore during the year.
