Alexandre Ricard, Chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to India and its strong economic ties with France at the Indo-French CEO Forum, held in Paris during the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit. The event, graced by French President Emmanuel Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighted the collaborative potential between the two nations in AI-driven innovation and economic growth.

Ricard emphasised that India remains a key market for Pernod Ricard, ranking as the company’s second-largest globally. He noted that over 95 percent of the company’s volumes are produced locally in India, contributing significantly to job creation and economic development.

“As we continue to invest in India’s dynamic growth, we are also embracing AI and digital transformation. Through our key digital programs—Maestria, Matrix, and D-Star—we leverage AI-powered analytics to optimise sales, enhance consumer engagement, and boost operational efficiency,” said Ricard.

The Indo-French Business Summit provided a platform to discuss regulatory frameworks, India’s evolving business environment, and support for Indian start-ups. Ricard acknowledged India’s transformative regulatory reforms, such as GST and the Make in India initiative, as key drivers in enhancing business dynamics and fostering local economic development.

Pernod Ricard’s participation in the summit underscored its long-standing commitment to strengthening Indo-French economic and cultural relations. The company looks forward to leveraging AI innovations and fostering collaboration to shape a future of shared prosperity.
