Pernod ‘s completes sale of its global wine portfolio
Pernod Ricard has officially completed the sale of its international wine portfolio to Australian Wine Holdco Limited (AWL), the consortium that owns Accolade Wines. The transaction, initially announced in July 2024, closed on 30 April 2025.
The sale includes prominent wine brands such as Jacob’s Creek, Orlando, and St Hugo in Australia; Brancott Estate, Stoneleigh, and Church Road in New Zealand; and Campo Viejo, Ysios, Tarsus, and Azpilicueta in Spain.
As part of the transaction, the acquired brands will form a new global wine entity named Vinarchy, signaling a major shift in the international wine landscape. While the value of the deal has not been disclosed, the proceeds will be reflected in its FY25 results before the financial year ends on 30 June.
This strategic divestment underscores Pernod Ricard’s continued focus on its core spirits business while enabling AWL to strengthen its global wine portfolio under the new Vinarchy umbrella.
