Praveen Someshwar takes charge as Diageo India MD & CEO

A seasoned business leader with over 30 years of experience, he has a proven track record in transformation, strategy and execution across media houses and FMCG industries. He worked as the MD and CEO of HT Media for the past five years where he spearheaded its shift to a digital-first, tech-driven enterprise. Prior to that, he worked for 24 years at PepsiCo, where he excelled in General Management, Finance and Strategy roles across India and the Asia Pacific region.

Diageo India, in a statement, expressed its gratitude to the outgoing CEO Hina Nagarajan for her exceptional four-year leadership, during which the company achieved significant growth, premiumisation and innovation. Hina will now move into her new role as President of Diageo Africa.
