Pune gets its first wine bar

Pune has got its first dedicated wine bar, The Third Place, that also blends speciality coffee, wood-fired pizzas, sustainable design and curated fashion under one roof.

Positioned as more than just a café or bar, The Third Place in Koregaon Park introduces India to a western-style community space model, combining soulful food, sommelier-led wines, home-style coffee, and slow shopping, all in a setting designed with repurposed materials and natural aesthetics.

Founder Kunal Mhaske, also the Managing Director of Grandeur Hotels Pvt. Ltd., shared the inspiration behind the space. “Your first place is your home, second is your work, and this is your third place. We wanted to create a space you’d want to return to, where food, drinks and community come together intentionally.”

With an all-day European menu by Chef Toshan Salgaonkar, concept corners like Style Mati and Altrove, and a focus on comfort over trendiness, The Third Place sets a new standard for lifestyle hospitality in Pune.
