Rozgar Mela concludes with over 2.5k job opportunities
Rozgar Mela 2.0 successfully concluded in Siliguri with over 2,500 job offers and the numbers expected to rise further as employer evaluations continue.
Organised by the Darjeeling Welfare Society under the leadership of MP Harshvardhan Shringla, the job fair recorded an overwhelming response, drawing over 9,000 young aspirants seeking meaningful career opportunities.
As knowledge partner, the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) played a pivotal role in amplifying industry participation. THSC helped mobilise more than 24 leading employers from the tourism and hospitality sector. Overall, the job fair saw participation from over 55 companies, including prominent names such as Indigo Airlines, Taj, Apollo Sindoori, Sterling Holidays, Devyani Group, Barbeque Nation, Absolute Barbecue, PVR, Compass Group, Sodexo and Club Mahindra, among others.

The event was attended by several distinguished dignitaries, including Governor of West Bengal C.V. Ananda Bose, MP Samik Bhattacharya (President, BJP Bengal), MP Dr. Jayanta Kumar Roy, Ram Lal (Rashtriya Sah-Sampark Pramukh), MLA Anandamay Barman, MLA Sikha Chatterjee and MLA Durga Murmu. Further, Union Minister of State for MSME, Labour & Employment, Shobha Karandlaje, addressed the gathering virtually. THSC also acknowledged the support of Father (Dr.) Babu Joseph, Principal, Salesian College, Siliguri, for facilitating the successful execution of the event.
