Shanishvara Alcobev Asia Pvt Ltd has finalised the acquisition of land for a new greenfield brewery in Wada, Palghar district, marking a key step in expanding its manufacturing footprint in Maharashtra. The upcoming facility is planned as a state-of-the-art production hub aimed at meeting rising demand for both premium and value-led alcoholic beverages across Western India.
The brewery will feature a dual-infrastructure setup, housing high-speed bottling lines for glass-packaged beers and spirits alongside advanced canning facilities to address the growing consumer preference for aluminium cans, particularly in the craft and premium beer segments. This multi-format capability sets the unit apart from many regional facilities that operate with a single packaging focus.
Led by Dhun Thacker, Shanishvara Alcobev has recently entered into strategic partnerships with multiple brands, and the Wada brewery is expected to play a central role in producing the company’s internal labels. While technical specifications are yet to be disclosed, the company has confirmed that the facility will deploy modern technologies focused on water optimisation and energy efficiency, in line with MIDC and State Pollution Control Board norms.
The project is also expected to generate significant direct and indirect employment opportunities for the local Palghar community across brewing, logistics and supply chain functions.
