Som Distilleries and Breweries Ltd. has reported a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of ₹27.45 crore for Q2 FY26, marking a 5.5 percent increase over ₹26.01 crore recorded in the same quarter last year. The company’s PBT margin improved to 10.17 percent in Q2 FY26, up from 8.94 percent in Q2 FY25.
Net Profit for the quarter rose 4.3 percent to ₹19.5 crore, compared to ₹18.7 crore in Q2 FY25. The net profit margin strengthened to 7.2 percent, up from 6.4 percent in the corresponding period last year. For H1 FY26, net profit grew 3.9 percent to ₹61.56 crore (H1 FY25: ₹59.24 crore), with the net margin expanding to 7.6 percent from 7.36 percent.
The company said it delivered a resilient performance in both Q2 and the first half of FY26, maintaining profitability and boosting operating margins despite a marginal decline in total income.
Total income for H1 FY26 stood at ₹800.09 crore, slightly lower than ₹804.69 crore in the previous year, reflecting a 0.6 percent dip. According to the company, the moderation in revenue is due to temporary market softness, though overall demand remains stable.
Som Distilleries’ gross profit margin increased to 41.06 percent in Q2 FY26 from 40.01 percent in Q2 FY25. For H1 FY26, gross profit rose 4.2 percent to ₹300.9 crore, compared to ₹288.88 crore last year, with gross margin improving to 37.61 percent from 35.9 percent.
EBITDA for Q2 FY26 came in at ₹40.52 crore, up 15.1 percent from ₹35.19 crore in the same quarter last year. The EBITDA margin saw a significant rise to 15 percent from 12.1 percent in Q2 FY25.
For H1 FY26, EBITDA increased 12.5 percent year-on-year to ₹112.57 crore. The EBITDA margin expanded to 14.1 percent for the first half of FY26, compared to 12.43 percent in the corresponding period last year.
