Som Distilleries reports profit growth in Q1 FY26

Som Distilleries & Breweries Ltd has reported a rise in profits for the first quarter of FY26, supported by improved margins and steady revenue growth despite regulatory challenges. For the quarter ended June 30, 2025, the company posted a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of Rs 58.38 crore, up from Rs 56.03 crore in Q1 FY25. Net Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at Rs 42.06 crore, compared with Rs 41.01 crore in the same quarter last year.

Total income for Q1 FY26 was Rs 530.07 crore, reflecting a 3 percent year-on-year growth, even as higher excise duties in markets like Karnataka impacted the sector. EBITDA came in at Rs 72.05 crore, with margins improving to 13.59 percent from 12.62 percent in Q1 FY25.
