Sunil Tuli, President of the Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA)
Sunil Tuli, Group CEO of King Power Group (Hong Kong), has been unanimously re-elected as the President of the Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) for an unprecedented fifth term. The decision was confirmed during APTRA’s Annual General Meeting held on May 14 in Singapore.
Erin Lillis of Lacoste was also unanimously appointed as the Secretary. Both will serve a two-year term, working alongside an experienced board that reflects the region’s dynamic travel retail sector.
Sunil expressed his appreciation for the continued trust of the board and emphasised the association’s growing relevance. “This is a great honour and I am delighted to accept it. APTRA is an organisation I have always been proud to represent; especially now as we continue delivering added value for our members through initiatives like the APTRA India Conference. These platforms share vital knowledge, insights, and networking opportunities,” he said.
Highlighting the increasing need for regulatory engagement across a complex region, Sunil added, “The advocacy support we provide has never been busier or more important across a highly diverse region of over 45 markets, each with their own distinct regulatory agenda.”
Apart from Sunil and Erin, the newly appointed APTRA board comprises leaders from across the industry, including Lucy Thomas of Auckland Airport, Freda Cheung of Avolta, Hervé Ducros of Chanel, Chandra Mahtani of Changi Airport Group, Ashish Chopra of Delhi Duty Free Services, Rajshree Dugar of Heinemann, Susana Hueso of Lindt, Luke Maga of Loch Lomond Group, Antonio Duva of Pernod Ricard, and Philippe Margueritte of the Tax Free World Association.
