Suntory launches Bowmore Appellations Collection in India GTR

Suntory Global Spirits has introduced the travel retail-exclusive Bowmore Appellations Collection in India, with availability at Delhi Duty Free (Indira Gandhi International Airport) and Ospree Duty Free (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai).

Originally unveiled in October 2024, the collection is a tribute to Bowmore’s Islay heritage, blended with influences from globally renowned wine-producing regions including Burgundy, Bordeaux, the Douro Valley, and Sauternes. The launch in India follows earlier activations at major international hubs such as London Heathrow and Singapore Changi airports.

The Bowmore Appellations Collection features four aged single malt Scotch whiskies, all matured in American oak ex-Bourbon casks and finished in wine or port casks from select European appellations:

• Bowmore 14 Year Old – Finished in Bordeaux barriques, offering a fusion of orchard fruits, smoke, and berry sweetness.
• Bowmore 16 Year Old – Enhanced in Ruby Port casks from the Douro Valley, delivering an autumnal character with matured smoke.
• Bowmore 19 Year Old – Finished in Burgundy Pinot Noir casks, highlighting subtle smokiness with toasted nuances.
• Bowmore 22 Year Old – Aged in Sauternes casks, noted for its sweet, fruity notes and a refined finish.

The launch is complemented by the recent debut of a 33 sq. m dedicated Suntory shop-in-shop at Mumbai airport’s arrivals zone. Developed in partnership with Ospree Duty Free, the immersive space showcases Bowmore’s craftsmanship, legacy, and collectability to Indian travellers.
