Suntory Global Spirits has announced the opening of two new offices in London and Glasgow, reinforcing its commitment to the UK market as it pursues its vision of becoming the world’s most admired premium spirits company.

With this, the company’s employee strength across the UK will reach over 550. These include its distilleries and operations in Scotland and London. The move marks a major investment following the launch of its standalone UK commercial business earlier this year.

Located near Oxford Circus, the new London office will serve as the UK headquarters for Suntory Global Spirits’ commercial business. It will house more than 100 employees across sales, marketing, and other corporate functions.

Meanwhile, the Glasgow office on West George Street will offer a central workspace for approximately 50 corporate employees and complement the company’s existing Springburn office.

Nick Temperley Managing Director, UK & Ireland

Nick Temperley, Managing Director – UK, Ireland & Eastern Europe, said, “We wanted a space in the heart of the city that places us closer to our customers and consumers. The beautiful bespoke office design, with a premium bar to host guests and showcase our brands, embodies everything that makes our working culture so special.”

Chris Richardson, Managing Director – Scotch & Irish

Chris Richardson, Managing Director – Scotch & Irish, added, “This new central Glasgow office enhances our presence in Scotland and provides our people with a facility where they can do their best work. It’s a clear sign of Suntory’s continued investment in its people.”

The announcement follows Suntory Global Spirits taking direct control of the marketing and distribution of its spirits in the UK this February. The UK is home to several of the company’s iconic brands, including Laphroaig, Bowmore, Auchentoshan, Teacher’s, Glen Garioch, Ardmore, Ardray, and Sipsmith Gin.
