Suntory unveils ‘One Night in Toki-O’ at Mumbai Airport

The House of Suntory has launched its flagship immersive experience, One Night in Toki-O, at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, marking the first time the activation has been introduced to global travel retail.

Hosted at the International Departures terminal from September 2 to 30, the pop-up offered travellers a rare opportunity to experience the intersection of Japanese tradition and modern Tokyo culture. The installation recreated Tokyo’s vibrant streetscape and invited passengers to engage in activities such as Hanko stamping and custom tote bag printing, providing a personalised souvenir rooted in Japanese craftsmanship. A vinyl listening bar added to the ambience, offering a curated soundtrack that reflected Tokyo’s urban energy.

The centrepiece of the experience was Toki, a contemporary Japanese whisky from The House of Suntory. A blend of Yamazaki and Hakushu single malts with Chita grain whisky, Toki is known for its light, silky texture and notes of basil, green apple, honey and peppermint. In addition to Toki, travellers could explore other signature spirits, including Roku Gin and Haku Vodka, each representing the brand’s commitment to Japanese artistry and innovation.

Every element, from design and music to craftsmanship and flavour, is intended to create a memorable encounter with Toki, our most vibrant expression of Japanese whisky.”

The experience was created in partnership with Ospree Duty Free, the retail partner at Mumbai International Airport.
