The Telangana government has officially invited applications from interested individuals and establishments for the grant of prior clearance to set up microbreweries in accordance with the Telangana Microbrewery Rules, 2015. Applications must be submitted in Form MB-1A, with a non-refundable application fee of ₹1 lakh.

Eligible applicants include establishments licensed by local authorities to serve food, such as hotels or restaurants, or those holding licences like 2B Bar, Elite Bar, C1-Club, TO 1 or TO 2.

For applicants in the Telangana Core Urban Region (TCUR), which includes the entire Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area as well as the urban and rural local bodies of Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Sangareddy districts up to the Outer Ring Road (ORR), applications can be submitted on all working days during office hours at O/o Commissioner, Prohibition and Excise, Hyderabad.

For applicants in other municipal corporations across the state, applications can be submitted on all working days during office hours at the offices of the respective Deputy Commissioners, Prohibition & Excise.

The last date for submission of Form MB-1A applications is 5 pm on September 25, 2025.
