The Dalmore has launched the third edition of its celebrated Luminary Series, The Dalmore Luminary No. 3: The Rare, a 52-Year-Old Highland single malt whisky presented alongside a striking bronze sculpture by architect and artist Ben Dobbin of Foster + Partners.
Only two bottles of this exceptionally rare Scotch exist. One remains archived at the distillery, while the other is being auctioned at Sotheby’s Hong Kong until May 16, with proceeds benefiting the V&A Dundee museum. The low estimate stands at HK$800,000 (approx. US$102,000).
This release is The Dalmore’s oldest available whisky and was aged in six rare casks including Calvados, PX Sherry, and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The expression is bottled at 40.3 percent ABV. A Collectible 17-Year-Old edition is also available globally at $400 SRP.
