In a significant administrative reshuffle affecting excise and allied operations in the Delhi Government, Ravi Jha, a 2011-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been appointed as the new Excise Commissioner. He previously served as the Special Secretary to the Chief Minister.
Among the notable appointments, Niharika Rai, a 2008 batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been named Secretary of Tourism and also appointed as the Managing Director and CEO of the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DT&TDC). Strengthening the leadership at DT&TDC further, D. Karthikeyan, a 2007 batch officer of the DANICS cadre, has been appointed as its General Manager.
Meanwhile, Nazuk Kumar, a 2016 batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC).
According to the official order dated 16 May 2025, issued by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor has approved the transfer and posting of several senior officials with immediate effect.
These key appointments are seen as part of a strategic move by the state government to bring renewed focus and efficiency to critical departments including excise, tourism, and industrial development.
