Uttarakhand  confirms no Trikal liquor brand sold in state

The Uttarakhand government on Tuesday has categorically denied the presence or sale of any liquor brand named "Trikal" within the state.

In an official statement issued on Tuesday, Excise Commissioner Harichandra Semwal clarified that the brand has neither been approved for production nor registered for sale in Uttarakhand. He added that although Trikal may have been introduced in other states, any social media claims connecting it to Uttarakhand are baseless and factually incorrect.

Semwal emphasized that Uttarakhand, known as Devbhoomi, will not permit the sale of such a product, and any attempt to associate it with the state is misleading.

Taking the issue seriously, the excise department is moving to file an FIR under cybercrime laws. The commissioner also urged citizens to disregard such misinformation and rely only on verified sources for accurate updates.
