WGSN acquires IWSR

Global trend forecaster WGSN has acquired IWSR, the leading alcohol industry data and insights provider, from Bowmark Capital in a strategic move to bolster its footprint in the food and drink sector. The terms of the deal remain undisclosed.

The acquisition marks the end of Bowmark Capital’s four-year ownership of IWSR, during which the private equity firm supported the company’s product expansion and growth trajectory.

WGSN, known for its trend intelligence across beauty, fashion, interiors, consumer tech, and food & drink, said the deal represents “a decisive step” in offering an integrated solution to clients seeking future-facing insights.

IWSR CEO Julie Harris acknowledged Bowmark’s contributions, stating, “We are deeply grateful for Bowmark’s support and expertise, which was pivotal in enabling us to launch new products and deliver on our growth objectives. We look forward to building on that foundation and accelerating our next phase of growth with the support and scale of WGSN.”

No details have been released regarding potential changes to IWSR’s headcount or operational structure.
